Office Manager (20-40 hours a week)

Wellington, New Zealand

We’re looking for an Office Manager to support our agile team of technical specialists, software engineers and designers. We would love to hear from highly pro-active applicants that are keen join our special little company and help our office run smoothly.

What you will do:
Your tasks will range from scheduling meetings, maintaining office policies and procedures, accounting and payroll, assisting our Directors, running errands, to organising and supporting events and travel. You will maintain office efficiency by planning and implementing office systems, as well as organising office operations and procedures, e.g. filing or looking after office equipment, invoices and bookkeeping.

We are looking for somebody with experience and a highly pro-active, "no job too small" attitude. You will enjoy managing your responsibilities independently and providing great support for us through our different project endeavours. This is a great opportunity for someone keen to make a difference and being the supporting force behind an energetic small team.

What you have:

  • Proven administrative experience, incl. bookkeeping and payroll administration (we use Xero and Smartpayroll)
  • Knowledge of office management systems and procedures
  • Proficiency in MS Office (MS Word, MS Excel and MS PowerPoint, in particular)
  • Preferred drivers’ licence and own transportation
  • Excellent time management skills and a keen eye for detail
  • The ability to work independently within a diverse group of staff

Details:

The position will initially be until December 2020 to help us through a phase of high workload but are keen to explore a permanent position for the right candidate after that. Depending on skill set and availability, we’re looking for someone in the office for 20-40 hours a week. Working hours and times are flexible and can be negotiated (school hours welcome). Salary will be based on experience and skill.

Graphics Designer (20-40 hours a week)

Wellington, New Zealand

We’re looking for a Graphic Designer with a keen eye for detail and a “no job too small” attitude to join our growing and dynamic team.

What you will do:
In this role, you will be responsible for visual communications, both for our clients and our company. This includes infographics, UX and branding for client’s web applications, creating short videos and animations, and company branding across different template types. As a team player, you will work with technical experts, other designers and software engineers to create stunning outputs. As we are a small company we all wear many hats, and you might at times be called to assist with other tasks such as organising events, QA or document formatting.

What you have:
You should have a university qualification in graphic design and at least two years’ experience, with both print and digital knowledge. In-depth knowledge of the Adobe Creative Suite is a must. You should be able to work within pre-established branding when needed, and ideate and create new ones as well. Experience in video and animation production is a plus. You will need to be highly organised and efficient in your work with strong attention to detail with an eye for the small but important things.
